INSTANT DISCOVERY

LO NEEL invites you to discover the behind the scenes of the production of its unique pieces. From the design to the creation of the clothes, we invite you to meet our collaborators, who have a unique know-how in the world.

The French Atelier with which we are in collaboration is located in Paris. It is an atelier that supports designers as well as ready-to-wear fashion houses.

The Atelier is committed to supporting young and more experienced designers in the production of their Made in France collections from A to Z, with no minimum production to meet their unique needs.

The Parisian workshop has 40 years of experience and offers unique expertise in France in all areas of clothing manufacturing.

The French workshop

The production of a collection or capsule at the Parisian workshop takes place in six stages.

  1. Making the toiles: assembling a toile allows you to test the drape of the creation without spoiling the fabric of the final garment.
  2. Prototype assembly is a very technical step carried out by a seamstress using only a sewing machine. The craftsman assembles the prototype using a detailed technical sheet provided by the designer, Frédérique.
  3. The gradation is the scale of sizes that we choose to produce (XS, S, M, L, XL etc).
  4. The pattern making is the most technical part of the production process, because it allows the initial idea to become a reality. The pattern maker at the Atelier de Paris is Boris, founder of the workshop and with 45 years of experience. The patterns are computerized; this guarantees millimeter precision.
  5. The digitalization of patronage is one of the services offered by Atelier de Paris.
  6. The cutting of the materials is carried out on a 7-meter cutting table, which allows for meticulous production in the best conditions.

The Italian Green Workshop

The Italian workshop with which we collaborated to produce our new pieces has been a family business since 1968. Its particularity is that it has an eco-responsible production method. In fact, thanks to the use of renewable energies through solar panels, production is energy autonomous. This system allows them to produce almost 100% of the energy they use.

The workshop ensures 100% Italian production using only raw materials and fibers coming directly from Italy. Italian fiber is known for its quality and durability over time, a craftsmanship. In addition, the workshop being a family business, the know-how of Italian craft techniques is passed down from generation to generation. The workshop's artisans are recognized experts and specialists in knitting.

They guarantee traceability from product development to delivery of the sweaters for a high-end quality result and luxurious sweaters known in the ecological renewal of a green workshop.

The Indian Workshop

The workshop

We offer a variety of rare and organic materials such as cotton, soy fiber, Forest-certified viscose and our famous pineapple fiber.

Our inspirations come from India, and so do our collaborators! 70 people work to create the LO NEEL collections. They develop the fabrics, dye them, make the patterns and assemble the clothes.

Zero waste zero carbon footprint
Know-how & Handmade embroidery

We work in collaboration with a skilled workforce, but also with a textile engineer, a textile quality control expert and a merchandiser in order to offer our customers pieces of unique and certified quality. We share the same ethical values with them, which is essential for the values we defend.

All manufacturers and suppliers are within a maximum radius of 50 kilometers around Delhi, where the production plant is located. All fabrics come from India, except pineapple fiber. In order to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible, our Indian collaborators are developing a project to produce this fiber in India. We are able to source the rest of the materials directly from India thanks to the know-how of factories around Delhi, which offer us a variety of organic fabrics such as cotton, soy fiber or Forest-certified viscose.

Thanks to this ethical network, the journey of materials to create the final LO NEEL piece does not go beyond the Delhi region.

Finally, thanks to this collaboration, our pieces benefit from the unique Indian know-how in terms of embroidery. Indeed, the artisans apply a stitch work, also called "French embroidery" which they are the only ones to master so well. There are two types of embroidery: embroidery done by hand with traditional know-how.
